August 3rd Microsoft Azure SQL team announced the Generally Availability of the Azure SQL database (PaaS) new premium tier. They named this tier as P15 and its the largest premium tier available now.
Whats New in this Tier?
- Offers 4000DTUs (Data Throughput Unit) in P11 (1750DTUs).
- Two times power than P11
- Up to 1TB storage as previous
- Support a broad range of high performance workloads
